Moday Video – (on Tuesday) 8-10-09 “Enjoy the Silence” by Depeche Mode
In (black) celebration to seeing Depeche Mode last night I’m posting “Enjoy the Silence.” It features lead singer Dave Gahan walking around in a king outfit with a folding lounger, enjoying the silence in remote locations. The album “Violator” is in my top ten albums of all time.

Monday Video – 8/3/09 – New Order “Perfect Kiss”
A pared down, no frills video of the band playing the song in a studio seems like it would be kind of boring, but David Fincher’s vision captivates with close-up’s and tightly cropped framing.

Monday Video – 7/27/09
Coldcut’s “Timber” is a song created from of the sounds of logging juxtaposed with the sounds of the forest and aboriginal singing from a rainforest tribe. The video uses a cut up sample style to compliment the cut up audio show the plight of the forests and the creatures in it.

Monday Video – The Cure “Close to Me (acoustic)”
Something about the melancholy Cure makes me happy. I am not sure why.
